Upmo Eat
Upmo Eat is one of our employability initiatives, through which we provide our students with work experience in the catering and hospitality sector. The cafes also provide an important income stream for our charity and provide affordable, healthy food options to the communities we serve.
About Upmo Eat
The cafes provide a realistic working environment for our students giving them the opportunity for customer facing interactions, cash handling, food preparation, learning cooking skills, preparing hot drinks, and the importance of good hygiene practices. Our Employability workshops are designed to grow our student’s confidence as well as provide the opportunity to demonstrate their abilities to potential employers in the future.
With the support and partnership of Edinburgh Leisure we now have three public facing cafes, as well as one that serves our staff and students at our site in St Margarets House.
