Working Partnerships

We offer support tailored to the individual needs of adults with learning disabilities and autism so they can engage with the workshops and activities we offer at Upmo. Our dynamic programme of workshops nurture creativity and self-expression while students learn new skills in a supportive environment. Using different mediums, our staff engage students in a variety of topics Including history, environmental issues, culture and more.

Upmo Eat

Our Community Cafes provide a realistic working environment for our students to gain hospitality and catering skills whilst still being supported by our staff and volunteers until they feel comfortable and confident in their abilities.

Lothian Buses

It’s important that our students who use Lothian Buses and East Coast Buses to travel to Upmo sites are empowered and supported with independent travel. One of our students Jason, makes a two-hour journey involving multiple buses, on a weekly basis for work experience at Upmo Eat café in Drumbrae. The video is also used for training material for Lothian Buses. Watch the video on YouTube here
