Upmo is recruiting a Team Leader!

 Hours: Full Time 37.5 Hours

 Pay: £24,100 starting salary

 We are looking for a full-time Team Leader to join our dynamic team in Edinburgh.

 In this position, you will lead a team of Project Workers as they provide support and opportunity to the adults who attend Upmo.

 On a day-to-day basis, Team Leaders supervise and coordinate activities on site, provided support to staff, ensure onsite operations are in line with policy and procedure and assist Team Managers with case and site management. We are looking for a confident communicator with excellent leadership skills and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment. 

This Team Leader position is primarily based in our service in Edinburgh, where we offer workshop activities to adults with learning disabilities and autism from Links House in Leith, and St. Margaret's House at Meadowbank.

The starting salary for this position is £24,100. 

No formal qualification is necessary, but experience of working in social care is preferred.

Upmo is recruiting Project Workers!

Full Time (30 hours) & part-time contracts available

We are currently recruiting Project Workers to work with Upmo. Join our dedicated team supporting adults with learning disabilities and autism to reach their individual goals and ambitions.

We have vacancies in our teams based at: 

  • Prestonpans

  • Gorebridge

  • St. Margaret's House - Meadowbank

  • Links House - Leith

 We are recruiting for full time staff who can work 30 hours a week, between the hours of 10-16:00, Monday to Friday, however both full time and part-time contracts are available.

 Upmo is a Living Wage Employer; the rate of pay for this role is £12.00 per hour. 

As a Project Worker, you will be part of an enthusiastic and creative team who provide daily support to adults with learning disabilities and autism as they participate in workshops and activities within our site-based services.

For this role, we are particularly interested in hearing from individuals with skills and expertise in Art, IT, Music, Drama, Dance, Virtual Reality, Photography, Gardening, and Outdoors. Or, if you have any other skills, let us know!

This role includes supporting students in workshops of their choosing, working one to one with students, and facilitating workshops, and supporting people with personal care, as and when required.

While previous experience in care or support is highly advantageous, it is not required as we provide full training and ongoing support to our staff team.

Upmo is recruiting Baristas to work within our Upmo Eat cafés!

In this role, you will provide excellent customer service and refreshments to our café patrons while also maintaining a clean and tidy environment for them to enjoy. This is a unique opportunity to join a charitable initiative at a time of growth and development. Upmo Eat is currently based within Ainslie Park, Drumbrae Leisure Centre and Leith Victoria Swim Centre, in partnership with Edinburgh Leisure.

Upmo provides support and opportunity to adults with learning disabilities and autism. Upmo Eat is one of our employability initiatives, which provides our students with work experience in the catering and hospitality sector. The cafés also provide an important income stream for our charity and provide affordable, healthy food options to the communities we serve.

Working hours are Monday – Friday, 9am – 4pm and the rate of pay is £12 per hour.
